Then check out the Transformation channel on YouTube for tons of other sermons from years back to now. Such a powerful testimony of the faith he’s had to get to where he is now and encouragement to learn to have unshakable faith. That would break my heart and so many if fame ever changed him.įor anyone unfamiliar start with the Crazy Faith series from last year. Although he’s in the “pimp slap” forum my prayer is he never fits into that category and this thread is one that remains positive on him, his family, what he does for Transformation Church and the kingdom. I have lots of quotes of his saved in my phone and am pointed to many bible verses and stories in his sermons too so he’s much more biblically sound than some others in his category of popularity. He speaks encouragement for those in the arts (he’s a producer) and yes, he also speaks on relationships but he honestly covers so, so much in his sermons. He does sermons often on tithing and started the year encouraging us to learn to disciple. I listen to him weekly and have watched many of his sermon series (possibly most that are uploaded to YouTube) and will say despite his appearance (Yezzys, etc) he isn’t a tickle the ears pastor. Mike is very animated and passionate (he reminds me of a young Martin Lawrence) so his personality may not be for everyone but he’s able to reach those that need a different style of preaching. He said he was listening to the sermon but when Mike started talking about his pδrn addiction it really got his attention and was the kind of sermon as a man he just wasn’t used to hearing. The guy I’m dating saw him preach about 2 years ago and said that he has been faithfully listening to him since. Apart from allowing himself to be posted on the toilet, he appears to have a solid ministry. It's reported that the pδrn and cheating were BEFORE marriage and part of his testimony. He has a good reputation, he's friendly and approachable and so far seems to be managing a large following and ministry success quite well. Her *village* is just a means to an end.Įven without credentialing the difference I see in Todd is a genuine care for the hearts of people. She's patently unkind to people she nor Cornelius seem to truly like/love people. She doesn't rightly divide the word, rather she has a catalogue of 3 or 4 messages that she's been recycling this whole time. Plus while she did amass followers, her message and focus has not really grown since day one. The love of money will mess you up every time. Yes, she seemed much more genuine (gospel loving) back in the day, but make no mistake, those red bottoms said a lot. Out of the gate she was a gospel salesperson. Heather seems to have had a plan right from the start. I actually don't think the Lindseys were ever innocent leaders in Christ. Okay off my Mike Todd defense for the day. Oh, and since he’s in Oklahoma know that man frequently speaks about the black wall street and racism down to telling his white members you all will join us for church but would you be okay if your daughter brought a black man home for dinner? I know HL bots can’t see clearly because they want so bad for her to be the person she curates herself to be but with Mike I truly haven’t seen anything other than he’s not a fire and brimstone pastor but definitely preaches in a way that reaches those that are hard to reach and need a fresh delivery. As a follower of his ministry I have yet to see any suspicious behavior, however I am praying for him as he grows because fame, money and popularity is such a stumbling block and I would hate for him to ever end up anything like the Lindsey’s. Also, you can find tons of series on YouTube prior to his relationship series that blew him up and can see he wasn’t all about one topic then either, he touches on a lot. He took time to write it, unlike HL and continued to give sermons on various topics from tithing to discipleship. So while it may seem he’s trying to capitalize off marriage/relationships, that just happened to be the series that blew up and he took about 2 years to release a book. I’ve watched most of his series the past 2-3 years and he actually became a popular name from his relationship series. It may appear there are “bots” defending him but I would have to disagree that they are simply asking to first check out more of his sermon series to truly determine if Twitter is simply having a moment on another pastor or actually spitting truth. From the posts on Mike it appears many have only listened to a few sermons and were not actual former followers of his at all. I’m late to the Mike Todd discussion today but can say the difference in terms of Mike and HL is many of us closely followed HL and realized something in the milk wasn’t clean.
